Principal's Corner
Welcome to Garrett!
Students will have many opportunities to display their superpowers to lead!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are excited about a new school year. We made gains academically and our programs positively impacted the culture of our school. However, we are striving to achieve more. Our goals this year will include increasing student attendance, decrease tardiness, decrease discipline infractions, increase interventions and parent/community involvement. This year we are ”Using our Superpowers to Lead! Our preparation begins with the teaching of Sean Coveys’ 7 Habits of Happy Kids. As we develop leaders, our goal is to provide students with leadership opportunities within our school and give them the tools to make sound decisions, which will help them be successful in life. We are excited about our Leadership Day which will be held on Friday, March.13th. We have been afforded a wonderful learning opportunity for our students through Franklin Covey's initiative Leader in Me that was funded by a grant we received for this school year with funding opportunities for 5 years.
I'd like to thank several supporters who made The Leader in Me possible:
